To the LFCS Staff:
I wanted to take a moment to let you know that my youngest daughter and her husband recently worked with your St. Louis and Cape Girardeau staff to adopt a newborn baby boy. While my daughter and son-in-law have a 5-year old son, they had tried for a second child to no avail.
From the moment they inquired around for guidance and assistance, LFCS stood out as the most detailed and informative. They quickly decided to engage with LFCS for their search for a child.
After a process filled with hopes, waiting, disappointments and success, LFCS was beyond competent. They were outstanding!
So, now I look back on this and ask, ”What was accomplished here?” Several things:
- A baby’s life was saved.
- A desperate single parent picked a loving home for her newborn baby.
- We fulfilled a special gift from God to my daughter and son-in-law and our entire family.
- Finally, LFCS carried out their ongoing mission of love and caring for God’s families and children, especially those in times of desperation and need.
When my new grandson is baptized, I will be saying a prayer of thanks for God’s work being accomplished by the staff, the leadership and the many volunteers of Lutheran Family and Children’s Services of Missouri. Seeing this work in action personally only reaffirms what a blessing this organization is to the many people being served throughout this community and the entire state of Missouri. God bless you all.
